Our artistic journey begins

Aibi Woghiren, a distinguished creative artist and entrepreneur, hails from the storied city of Great Benin Kingdom, Edo State, Nigeria. Born into the esteemed Woghiren Obamedo royal family of the Great Benin Empire.

He is a descendant of King Obanosa, who was the thirty-first Oba of the Great Benin Empire, who reigned 1804 AD to 1816 AD. Aibi is the grandson of revered Chief E. Woghiren, the first Obamedo of Great Benin Kingdom, the direct son of legendary writer and author, Chief J.G.O Woghiren JP. Above all, he is a child of the Almighty God, endowed with a New Anointing, Grace, Power, and Authority to the Glory of God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

The Great Benin Kingdom is renowned as a hub of art and culture in Black Africa, where a unique "Guild system" has a long thrived craft-based districts, specializing in everything from bronze casting, and wood carving to beadwork and leather craftsmanship.

Aibi’s artistic journey began with studies in painting and general art at the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Nigeria, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Art from the University of Benin, Nigeria. This rich background informs his distinctive style and profound connection to his cultural roots.

Seeking new opportunities and driven by a passion to share his talents globally, Aibi relocated to Canada. His artworks have become permanent fixtures in numerous homes, offices, galleries, and institutions worldwide, celebrated for his classic and stylized qualities.

Aibi's innovative approach to art includes framing two-dimensional sculptural works, a pioneering technique  that adds unprecedented aesthetic value to his pieces. Following a successful exhibition in Toronto in 2018, Aibi has continued to showcase his work annually at the Palace in Woodstock, Ontario.

Experience healing and connection through art

Aibi is also known for his innovative framing approach to two-dimensional sculptural works, creating layered visual experiences that add depth and aesthetic distinction to his pieces. His artistic philosophy is rooted in the belief that art serves as a powerful non-verbal language capable of healing, inspiring reflection, strengthening emotional well-being, and connecting people across cultures and experiences. Each piece invites viewers to explore narratives that resonate deeply and universally.
